Singh Saab The Great fares better than Gori Tere Pyaar Mein!
It seems Sunny Deol's dhai kilo ka haath has proved heavier than Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan's star presence.
Sunny's Singh Saab The Great took the lead over Bebo and Imran's Gori Tere Pyaar Mein in box office collection. While Gadar director Anil Sharma's film has collected over Rs. 16 crore over the weekend, Punit Malhotra's Gori Tere Pyaar Mein! trails much behind with an earning of Rs.10 crore.
Acording to a trade website, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein! received a lukewarm response at the box office. With its theme catering more to the urban audiences, the film remained restricted to only the city crowd.
The film collected Rs.3.25 crore on Friday, Rs.3.25 crore on Saturday, Rs.3.50 crore on Sunday.
The response to Singh Saab The Great is good in North India, mainly in Punjab and Delhi. The single screens have been performing well, except in the East and the South.
Sunny Deol starrer collected Rs.5.50 crore on Friday, Rs.5 crore on Saturday and Rs.5.75 crore on Sunday.
Ram-leela continues to dominate the domestic market as the two recent releases try desperately to match up the pace.
