Review for oohalu gusagusalade telugu movie

He is more popular as a scripter writer and actor and now Srinivas Avasarala has also made his dream debut as director with his latest outing ‘Oohalu Gusagusalade’. The actor has donned the director’s hat for first time in this Telugu romantic-comedy.
His latest film is inspired from Edmond Rostand's French play, Cyrano De Bergerac. The director who is a self confessed woody Allen fan has made ‘Oohalu Gusagusalade’ by taking cue from the French play and also from the Hollywood director’s films. His film has the spirit of a Woody Allen film.
Srini Avasarala's directorial debut film ‘Oohalu Gusagusalaade’ has the charm and innocence which has interestingly turned out to be a delight for the audiences. Despite the shortcomings, ‘Oohalu Gusagusalaade’ oozes freshness in the humour angle. ‘Oohalu Gusagusalaade’ is a rom-com that does entertain you throughout.
Story-line
Venky (Naga Shourya) is a TV host in a teleshopping program in UB TV. Uday (Avasarala Srinivas) is a channel owner. Venket desperately wants to become a news reader. His only wish is to fulfil the dream of his sick father. To land his dream job, Venkat does everything to please his boss Uday.
Interestingly one fine day a marriage broker ( Prithvi) brings an alliance for Uday and he instantly falls in love with Prabhavati Sireesha (Rasi Khanna). He tries to impress her in several ways. But nothing seems to work out in his favour. And so later he forces Venky to help him out in this endeavour. He also promises the newsreader job only if Prabhavati marries him. His desperation to marry Prabhavati is hilarious. Venkat accepts the demand and goes to meet her, and only then he comes to know that the girl is none other than his ex-girlfriend. Venkat now gets caught between his ex-flame and his boss. What follows from here is the comedy of errors.
The second half of the film is the major plus point. Humour prevents from getting tedious and predictable. Both Naga Shourya and Rashi Khanna deliver a commendable performance in this film. The comedy in the film will only work in A centres. Most part of ‘Oohalu Gusagusalade’only revolves around these three characters and they manage to hold your interest throughout.
Bottom-line
Oohalu Gusagusalade’is good romantic comedy entertainer that can never leave you bored.
